Diagnosis
Your basement is already telling you what’s wrong.
Every symptom has a specific cause, and the cause determines the fix. A contractor who recommends the same system to every house is selling a product rather than solving a problem.
A wet line around the edge of the floor
Water rising through the slab–footing joint under hydrostatic pressure.
Interior weeping tileA crack with a stain running down from it
An active crack admitting water through the full thickness of the wall.
Crack repairChalky white residue on the concrete
Efflorescence: mineral salts left behind as water evaporates out of the wall.
WaterproofingA musty smell you cannot locate
Moisture and spores rising from a crawl space or an open sump into your living space.
Crawl space sealingWater pooling against the house after rain
Surface water being delivered to your foundation by grade or downspouts.
Yard drainageA sump pump that runs constantly
A failed check valve, an undersized basin, or discharge returning to the system.

What we do
Two ways to stop water. We install both.
Interior
Manages water that has reached the wall- Foundation Crack Repair Polyurethane and epoxy injection that seals a leaking crack through the full thickness of the wall.
- Interior Weeping Tile A perimeter drain beneath the slab that collects water before it reaches your floor and pumps it away.
- Sump Pump Installation Correctly sized pumps in sealed basins, with battery backup for the outages that come with the storms.
- Crawl Space Encapsulation A sealed vapour barrier system that cuts off ground moisture, mould, and the odours that reach your living space.
- Basement Floor Lowering Bench footing and underpinning that turn a cramped basement into full-height, legal living space.
Exterior
Stops water before it reaches the wall- Exterior Waterproofing Membrane Excavate to the footing and put a true waterproof barrier between the soil and your foundation.
- Exterior Weeping Tile New footing drainage that intercepts groundwater before it ever reaches your wall.
- French Drains & Yard Drainage Intercept surface and near-surface water in the yard, before it ever reaches your foundation.
- Basement Walkout Entrances A separate, code-compliant entrance that turns a basement into a suite, an in-law flat, or simply a usable space.
- Window Wells Wells that drain instead of filling, and egress wells that make a basement bedroom legal.

Common questions
Before you call.
More detail on every service page, and a full FAQ covering cost, timing, warranty and what happens on the day.
How much does it cost to fix a wet basement in Nova Scotia?
It depends entirely on why it is wet. A single crack injection is a few hundred dollars. A full interior perimeter drainage system with a sump pump runs into the thousands depending on linear footage. Exterior excavation and membrane is the most involved and prices by wall length and depth. The assessment is free and produces a firm written quote, so you will know the number before you commit to anything.
Do you charge for the assessment?
No. We come out, walk the basement and the exterior grade, diagnose where the water is entering and why, and give you a written quote. There is no charge and no obligation. If the honest answer is that you do not need us, that extending your downspouts would solve it, then that is the answer you will get.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
Our waterproofing work carries a transferable lifetime warranty. If water returns through an area we treated, we come back and make it right at no charge. It transfers with the property, so it passes to the next owner when you sell, which means your realtor can put it in writing during a sale.
How quickly can you come out?
For active flooding we prioritise the call and get there as fast as we can. For planned work, assessments are usually booked within a few days. Spring is our busiest season by a wide margin, so if you are thinking about work for the year, booking in winter gets you a better date.
Do you use your own crews or subcontractors?
Our own crews, on every job. Foundation work has details that decide whether a system lasts thirty years or five: excavating beside a footing rather than under it, wrapping stone in filter fabric, sealing form-tie holes. Those get done when the person doing them is accountable for the warranty.
